Coffee Crumb Cake 
1½ cups flour 
1 cup sugar 
½ cup butter, softened 
½ cup sour milk or milk soured with 1 tsp. vinegar 
1 Tbsp. molasses 
¼ tsp. cloves 
½ tsp. cinnamon 
1 egg 
1 tsp. vanilla 
½ tsp. baking soda dissolved in small amount of water 
Mix flour and sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly and set aside ½ cup for topping. 
Combine remaining ingredients with flour mixture. Pour batter into greased 
9-inch cake pan and sprinkle with topping. Bake are 375 30 minutes. Serves 8-10
