German Farmers Breakfast 6 slices bacon, cut into pieces and fried crisp; drain and set aside Reserve 3 tablespoons drippings in skillet and sauté: ¼ cup chopped onions ¼ cup chopped green pepper Blend in: 1 tablespoon flour 1 tablespoon sugar ½ teaspoon celery seed ¼ teaspoon salt and pepper Stir in: ¾ to 1 cup water Cook until thickened. To this mixture fold in: 2 cups cubed cooked potatoes 8 ounces fully cooked beef Kielbasa sausage ¼ cup chopped pimento, optional Heat until bubbly. Reduce heat and keep hot while scrambling eggs. In separate skillet melt: 2 tablespoons butter Beat together: 8 eggs 1/3 cup milk salt and pepper to taste Add to skillet and cook to desired doneness. Serve on the side with Kielbasa mixture. This is great served on an English muffin that has been buttered and browned under a broiler. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
