Sausage and Apple Rolls 2 lbs. breakfast sausage Thyme and sage to taste 3 medium tart apples 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons oil ¾ cup milk Brown sausage, thyme and sage. Drain and save drippings for gravy. Grate apples with peels and mix with sausage. Mix flour, salt, oil and milk for biscuits. Roll out dough ¼ to ½ inch thick. Spread with butter and cover with sausage and apple mixture. Roll and slice as you would for cinnamon rolls. Place in 9x12-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° until golden brown, approximately 30 minutes. Serve hot with fried potatoes and gravy.
